The shocking secrets of the life of grime beneath your fingers have been revealed.Computer keyboards are accumulating up to two grams of dirt every month,research conducted on behalf of AOL U.K. shows.The crumbs and dirt collect beneath the keys because users eat breakfast,snacks,and lunch over their computer terminals.The personal grooming that people undertake while at their desk also contributes to the build-up of grunge.AOL collected the dust,dirt and organic debris accumulating beneath the keys of a keyboard in a typical London office for a month.

Office workers are exposed to more germs from their phones and keyboards than toilet seats, scientists reveal. Work stations contain nearly 400 times as many microbes than lavatories,it is claimed. "The superhighways for bacteria are hands and the surfaces we touch.Viruses are transferred by our hands, especially cold viruses".She said it was impossible to turn our surroundings into sterile zones,but we can minimise the risk by washing our hands regularly and using alcoholic wipes on office furniture like phones and keyboards.

If you are reading this while munching lunch at your office desk, you would proabably be better off eating in the toilet according to a new report.A poll found only one in 10 people cleans their desk,computer keyboard or phone creating a breeding ground for harmful germs and bacteria.
